Maragogype coffee beans are grown in Nicaragua and are known as “elephant beans” because of their extra-large size. The beans are also known for making a very smooth and slightly sweet cup of coffee, which is notably easy to drink. Trader Joe’s new Select Harvest El Salvador Pacamara/Nicaragua Maragogype Blend Coffee is given a light roast, which draws out the beans’ natural sweetness, as well as note of honey and caramel. And because o the hybrid blend of medium-roasted Pacamara beans from the Santa Ana region of El Salvador, the final cup also boasts floral aromas like orange, jasmine, and chocolate.
