The Garbage Pail Kids video game has been updated for a re-release from publisher iam8bit. The new version of the game will be made available on modern platforms, which include PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam. Initially launched in the ‘80s, Garbage Pail Kids were once a series of trading cards that featured graphics of repulsive caricatures that drew comparisons to the Cabbage Patch Kids dolls. The franchise never made it to the NES screen, but fast-forward to the present day, and iam8bit is dedicated to reintroducing the popular series.
Garbage Pail Kids: Mad Mike and the Quest for Stale Gum is an 8-bit side-scrolling adventure game co-written by Adam F. Goldberg. Players can take advantage of snot rockets, diaper slams, and vomit on their way through areas like Egypt, Transylvania, and even Hell. Players can enjoy the Garbage Pail Kids game as they ride through waves of nostalgia and sludge. The game releases on October 25, 2022, with preorders for the NES cartridges starting now.
