The Viking Acacia features a 20″ x 14″ surface made out of real Acacia wood, which gives the product its name. The board has a dual-sided design, where one side features three indents that are fit for storing chopped veggies and other ingredients while preparing dishes on the board, rather than simply piling these ingredients on the corner of a flat surface, where they can often slide off. This side is intended for preparing vegetable dishes and side-dishes.
The opposite side of the Viking Acacia 20″ serving board is a large, flat surface with a raised indent around the edge. This is ideal for meat and protein preparation, as the raised border prevents juices from sliding off onto the surrounding environment.
While this serving board is water-resistant and bacteria-resistant, it is recommended that consumers hand-wash the board rather than use a dishwashing machine.
