The Levante Origami Solar Panel is a compact piece of technology for off-grid enthusiasts and adventurers alike to help them stay connected from virtually anywhere. The solar panel is rated at 50% lighter than alternatives on the market thanks to a carbon fiber frame and is thus great for use in a variety of off-grid locations thanks to its highly portable construction. The solar panel will capture energy according to how widely it’s open to expose more or less of the photovoltaic cells.
The Levante Origami Solar Panel was developed by Sara Plaga and Kim-Joar Myklebust who used the folding solar panels on satellites as inspiration for the design. The solar panel can be ready for use in seconds to relay power to a battery system.
